rohrs.org is the personal website of ben rohrs, a twentysomething living in san francisco.
as you can tell from my photos, i am interested in photography of people and places. i enjoy being in the mountains and taking landscape photos. in january of 2005 i purchased a digital canon rebel, which i am now only beginning to comprehend. hopefully you can see the quality of my pictures increase as time progresses.
further research will show you that i am into mountaineering, which i try to do as much as possible. i cut my teeth on the 14ers in colorado and now am grappling with the increased difficulty of the sierra 14ers. i prefer class 2-3 climbing, but am taking up sport climbing in the gym to increase my climbing skills. i also enjoy backpacking and have taken treks in wyoming, montana, and alberta.
currently i live in the marina district of san francisco...but that will soon change
before that i lived in nob hill/tenderloin, which was gritty (good) but noisy (bad)
before that i lived in highlands ranch, colorado for three years. quintessential suburbs, a small copy of orange county...yuck
before that i went to college in flint, michigan. i hope to never go back there again
before that i grew up in what is now centennial, colorado. nice place to grow up.
before that i was born in the suburbs of chicago, but i can't really remember that
if you have any questions about any of the photos please contact me.
